On April 3rd,Chongqing University of Science and Technology (CQUST)hosted its2025 Tomb-Sweeping Day Themed Cultural Event, aiming to guide faculty and students in appreciating the beauty of traditional culture and the rhythm of nature, while perpetuating the spirit of patriotism and national integrity.
At noon that day, representatives of faculty and students gathered at theHeroes’ Memorial Stoneby Lingxiu Lake to witness thehandover ceremony for the "Li Linzhong Class" and "Li Hengtai Class". With resolute oaths and spirited demeanor, a new generation of young scholars accepted the banner of inheriting the martyrs’ legacy, pledging to become aspirational and responsible strivers in the new era.
Subsequently, the"Tomb-Sweeping Day Folk Heritage & Cultural Experience Event", held at theLiren Sports Zone, attracted widespread participation. The event featured three themed cultural experience zones, offering immersive encounters with the unique charm of Tomb-Sweeping Day traditions.
"Spring on Campus" Photo Zone:
Participants strolled through the springtime campus, identifying iconic plants and posing for photos, exploring nature’s splendor.
Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Experience Zone:
The art ofplant leaf rubbingproved immensely popular. Participants personally imprinted the colors and fragrances of spring onto canvas bags, experiencing the allure of traditional craftsmanship.
Archaeological Blind Box Zone:
Students transformed into "archaeologists," excavating replica artifacts to trace historical threads and savor the joy of cultural heritage preservation.
Additionally, aTomb-Sweeping Day culinary stallshowcasedqingtuan(glutinous rice balls with mugwort filling), allowing attendees to savor the essence of spring through this traditional delicacy.
