The university holds a Model Worker Innovation Studio Unveiling/Launch Ceremony

On the eve of International Workers' Day (May 1st), Vice President Wu Song led a delegation to the School of Metallurgy and Power Engineering and the School of Materials and New Energy on April 24th to officially unveil the "Jia Bi Advanced Ceramic Materials and Devices Model Worker & Craftsman Talent Innovation Studio" and the "Xia Wentang Nonferrous Metals High-Purity Refinement Model Worker & Craftsman Talent Innovation Studio." He also extended warm greetings to representatives of the model workers. Leaders from the University Trade Union, the two schools, as well as members of Jia Bi's and Xia Wentang's model worker teams, participated in the event.

During the unveiling ceremony, Vice President Wu Song emphasized that model workers are invaluable human resources for the university and pivotal forces driving its reform and development. The establishment of these innovation studios aims to leverage the exemplary leadership of model workers in teaching, scientific research, technological breakthroughs, and talent cultivation, fostering a high-level, multifunctional innovation platform. He expressed hope that the two model workers and their teams would utilize the studios as platforms to deepen mentorship, inheritance, and collaboration, amplifying their roles in passing on the spirit of model workers, promoting labor values, and nurturing the growth of young talents, thereby contributing wisdom and strength to the university's high-quality development. The university remains committed to providing robust support and favorable conditions for the studios' sustained growth.

In the subsequent慰问环节 (condolence and interaction session), Vice President Wu Song presented festive greetings and gifts to the two model workers, engaging in cordial exchanges with them and their team members. He inquired in detail about their progress and needs in teaching, scientific research, and team-building initiatives.

In their responses, Jia Bi and Xia Wentang expressed heartfelt gratitude for the university's care and support. They pledged to continue championing the spirit of model workers, remaining dedicated to their professional duties, and demonstrating greater responsibility and initiative. With renewed enthusiasm and professionalism, they aim to propel the university's development to new heights.
